CD Sunday Challenge - Guest Designer Card

This is my second card as Guest Designer for the CD Sunday Challenge. The theme for this week is Alphabets and the letter M. I chose to do a Marriage card.

I used a large square Craft UK card blank. The image is a Crafter's Companion SWALK stamp and is coloured with Promarkers and cut with a Spellbinders lacy nestie. The background paper of roses is from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Romance CD.  I used Joanna Sheen's silver Mirri board for the mount and the hearts. The lace and pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts, The flower is from John Lewis.

Christmas Wish

Today I've made a card that I'm entering in to two challenges -

I couldn't make a better Christmas wish than the one I've used on the front of this card. I used a small Craft UK card blank and red Mirri card from Joanna Sheen. The backing paper is from a freebie pack of My Mind's Eye papers that I got in a Papercraft Inspirations magazine this week. The House Mouse image is coloured with Promarkers and cut with a Spellbinders nestie after having the edges distressed with black soot Distress Ink. Red card candi becomes berries for the holly leaves at the side. The candle has had Sakura gelly roll pen used on the flame and the grease to make them glisten. 

Spots

Challenge 83 at The Crazy Challenge has the theme Spots. I love this spotty paper, from a freebie pack in Papercraft Essentials magazine. I set to work, getting out my Craft UK small square card blank.. I used a Mo Manning stamp 'Timeout' from Joanna Sheen and coloured her with my Promarkers. I used a little Distress ink at the bottom of the image and then cut it with a Spellbinders nestie. The orange card is from Papermill and the ribbon is, as before, from the batch I bought in Australia. The cerise Mirri board is from Joanna Sheen. I'm also entering the card into the Joanna Sheen Craft Forum monthly challenge which is just for fun.

Challenge 2 Monochrome

This is the theme for The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop's challenge this week. Last time I made a monochrome card I kept to beiges and it won the challenge that it was entered in. Today I decided to make it in shades of purple which aren't colours I usually use. The small square card is by Craft UK and the lilac mottled background card is by Papermill. The LOTV image has been coloured with Promarkers, cut with a Spellbinders die and edged with a Distress ink. A purple feather from Create and Craft is tucked behind the image. The purple satin ribbon was bought in Australia last year and the three lavender pearls are from WOC.

I'm also entering this card in to the Try it on Tuesday challenge - Monochrome.

#78 - Use a digi

The challenge this week at One Stitch at a Time is to 'Use a Digi'. I chose to use Barb's 'Fancy Free' image which you can buy here. I love this image and she's brilliant to colour, as you can imagine.Anyone with female teenagers in the family - you need to buy this image now.

My card is a large square card blank from Craft UK. The backing black/green.gold glitter card is from Create and Craft and it's so glitzy it suits this image perfectly. I coloured Fancy Free with my Promarkers and then tore round the image before distressing the edges with peeled paint Distress Ink. I typed the 'Hi' on the computer, cut it with a Spellbinders wonky square nestability and distressed the edges on this too. I attached buttons to match the colours of the image and tied them with cream cord. The buttons were all from Create and Craft.

I must add that I LOVED making this card.

Guest Designer

I was invited to be the Guest Designer for September by the CD Sunday Challenge team. I was delighted to accept and this is my first card for them. The theme is 'Inspired by Peacocks'. I had so much fun making this card so come along and join us. There are some wonderful challenges along the way.

I used a large square card blank by Craft UK. The backing paper is from Glenda Waterworth's Peacock Summer Party and it's backed with Papermill's turqouise card. The main image is from Joanna Sheen's Enchanted Dreams CD. A large peacock feather from Hobbycraft is set at an angle across the card and a light turqouise seam binding from WOC is tied across the bottom with a bow at the base of the feather. A sentiment by Lili of the Valley is stamped in turqouise and cut with a Spellbinders circle nestie and backed with the scalloped circle.

Daisy chain

The challenge set this week was a sketch by Pops over at Lili of the Valley. I used the lovely LOTV daisy chain image and coloured it with Promarkers before cutting with Spellbinders nesties. The green card is from Papermill and my card blank is by Craft UK. The backing papers are all by Costco and the lace is from WOC. The corner is cut with a Spellbinders Parisian motif die and the sentiment is, of course, by LOTV. The gems are from my stash.
