OSAAT #165 - Make it Stitchy
The theme for this week at One Stitch at a Time is 'Make it Stitchy'. This is very exciting because it's a mega competition. To take part in this challenge you MUST use any digi from the Stitchybear Digi Outlet. There'll be lots of prizes so please come along and join us.
I'm using one of Luke's images - Adventure Kid, Sword and he's available to buy at the Stitchybear Digital Outlet.
I used a small, 6x6, square card blank from Joanna Sheen. The red card is from Papermill and the backing paper is a freebie that I got in a magazine. I coloured the image with my trusty Promarkers and cut him with a Spellbinders label die, matting it on to the larger die cut in red. I made two little swords with silver and brown metallic looking card and added one to the bottom. The other I used to 'stab' the Happy Birthday sentiment, which I'd generated on the computer, cut with a die with no name and edged with a vanilla Promarker. The only thing left to add was a little red star button from Create and Craft.
When you read this I'll be staying with my son and daughter in law in Kent so I won't be along to visit you but I hope that you all have fun in this super, mega challenge.
I'm entering my card into the following challenges:
Card Mania CMC - Spots and/or Stripes
Creative Creations Challenges - For a Child
Love to Create Challenge - Something for Kids
Passion for Promarkers - Anything Goes
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes

OSAAT #164 - Use a Digi
The challenge this week at One Stitch at a Time is Use a Digi and I'm sure you'll be able to fulfil this challenge! Come and join us and you might be lucky enough to win the images used by he design team on challenge 162. Check out the challenge blog to see the prize structure.
For this week's card I had to choose the image for me and for Josephine and I hope she likes the image I chose - it's Rustic Bench by Tami of Ginger Loft over at Stitchybear Digi Outlet.
My card blank is an 8x8 square by Joanna Sheen. I coloured the image with my Promarkers and then cut it with one of my new X Cut large dies. After cutting I used Distress Inks on the edges and then matted it on to a Spellbinders grand nestie label in dark green card by Papermill. I embossed a square of white paper with a Crafters Companion embossalicious folder and matted that on to more dark green Papermill card. I then affixed the image mat on to the embossed panel. It still looked a little bare but I don't like anything too fussy so I sat and thought about it for a while. I eventually decided to use my new Memory Box die 'Summer Border' with white card. Once again I used my Promarkers, to colour the little flowers, and Distress Ink before adding it to the bottom edge of the white panel. I think it looks quite cute.
I'm entering this card in to the following challenges:
LEJ Designs Challenge - Borders and/or corners
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes

OSAAT #163 - Summer Sun
The theme this week at One Stitch at a Time is Summer Sun. I hope my card covers this topic by using hot colours such as red and yellow. It's a birthday card for my great nephew and William's birthday, hopefully, will have some Summer Sun.
The image I've used is called Birthday Boy 1 by BeeBeeKakes over at the Stitchybear Digi Outlet. You can get a Birthday Girl too so hop over there and buy these cute little images.
I used a small card blank by Joanna Sheen. The blue striped paper is from a Papermania pad by Docraft. I matted it on to red Papermill card. I coloured the image with Promarkers, cut it with a Spellbinders grand nestie and used Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink on the inside edge. After trying it against the striped paper I decided to mat the image on to red card too to make it stand out more. I used a Spellbinders die to cut out the number 1 in Papermill yellow card which I added to a 'die cut and embossing stencil' shape. I have no idea who makes these but I ordered them from Joanna Sheen website. They are only £4.99 per set of four or five sizes, depending on which set you buy.
The sponsor this week is Creative Craft World but do check out the challenge blog for full details of prizes.
