I'm on a roll after having a very quiet week, two cards today. This is another small square card blank from Craft UK. The red/gold mottled pearlescent card is from Papermill. The basket of flowers is a stamp from Joanna Sheen's Favourite Flowers range and I've coloured it with Promarkers before cutting it out. I've kept this card very plain for a change. The last few dozen cards I've made have all been very fussy with lots of matting and layering so I thought for a change I'd keep this simple. The image was raised as the focal point and yellow satin ribbon, from Australia, was tied in a bow across the bottom. Three pearls, also from Joanna Sheen, at each top corner complete it.
I'm entering this card in to two challenges:

Friend
My card is a Craft UK small square card blank. The purple backing card is by Papermill and the flowery backing paper is from a freebie pad Totally Tropical Summer Papers that was free in a magazine. The friend ticket was made by me and smudged with Distress Inks in dusty concord colour. The LOTV image was coloured with Promarkers, edged with the same Distress Ink and cut with a Spellbinders die. It was raised to give a little depth to the card. Baker's twine from WOC was tied across the card both ways.

Another card
I'm pleased to say that I've made a card today. I think my mojo must be back. :)
My card is to be entered in two challenges:
2cute rubber stamps - Anything Goes
Moving Along with the Times - Birdys
I used a Craft UK small square card blank. I have no idea where I got the 12x12 backing paper but it's my last sheet of this pattern. The purple Mirri card is from Joanna Sheen. The image is one of two I won from 2cute rubber stamps challenge of Lace and Pearls. This image is called Owl Sparklers by Heidi Schwoerer. I've coloured him with Promarkers and used Sakura gelly roll purple for the sparklers. I used Anita's 3D clear gloss finish for his specs. I used Spellbinders nesties for the circles. I generated the sentiment on the computer.

Crafty Sentiments
At last I felt like making a card. I haven't made one since Sunday and haven't posted on my blog either! This card is to enter the Crafty Sentiments Challenge which has the theme Ribbons and Bows.
I used a Craft UK card blank with a scalloped edge. The striped backing paper is from my Desert Blooms pad and the gold card is from Create and Craft. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the orange Papermill card. The digi is 'Pat in Summer' from Suzette at Crafty Sentiments. This is one of three digis I won in a previous challenge and I've used them a lot. She's coloured with Promarkers and I cut her with a Spellbinders nestie rectangle. It's edged in tattered rose Distress Ink. I bought the orange ribbon in Australia last year. I think I bought every colour and it was a bargain.

I love Crafting!
You wouldn't believe the hassle I've had making this card. I've been on since earlier this afternoon with it and I won't bother going in to how many things went wrong. Anyway, what I can tell you is that Sticky Stuff Remover works on photographic paper and doesn't make any marks. :)
It's to enter the CD Sunday Challenge which has the theme of Nursery Rhymes. I used a Craft UK scalloped edged card. The backing paper is from Joanna Sheen's Floral Fantasy CD and I cut it in a scalloped edged shape because my Spellbinders Grand Nestie wasn't big enough. The image is from Precious Petals and is backed with Papermill red card. The verse was generated on the computer before being cut with a round nestie and being backed with a red scalloped nestie. This verse was always being said to me by my mother when I was little and I like to think it was only because I had curly hair!

#76 - Bling it Up
Week three of the One Stitch at a Time Pretty in Print contest.

The theme this week is Bling It Up. The sponsor is Joanna Sheen and the prize is a £10 voucher to spend in her online store. Check it out here http://www.joannasheen.com/
The image I chose to use was Thank You by Angela at Stitchybear and I've really blinged it up, although I don't think my photo does it justice.
My card blank is a Craft UK small square. The glitter backing paper has a beautiful iridescent sheen. I coloured the Thank You butterfly image with Promarkers and then I added Stickles to the butterfly wings. The blue flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I used a Spellbinders nestie to cut the main image and the small butterfly is cut with a Spellbinders die, with a gem as its body.
I'm entering my card in to the following challenges:
Scrappy Frogs - Time for some Bling
