OSAAT #162 - Anything Goes

This week the theme at One Stitch at a Time is.......................Anything Goes! Come along and join us because the winner will get all the images that the design team used on challenge 160. The image I've used this week was chosen for the two of us by my team mate Josephine. It's called Bonsai 2 and is by Claire of Hope Jacare over at the Stitchybear Digi Outlet.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and cut it with a Spellbinders grand oval nestie. I coloured the edge with Distress Ink in the colour Peacock Feathers. The blank card base is by Joanna Sheen. I embossed a sheet of white paper with a Crafters Companion embossalicious folder and matted it on to a sheet of turquoise pearlescent card by Payperbox. I added the oval image to the centre and tucked a turqouise die cut of fresh foliage in the left side - the die is by Memory Box. The turquoise ribbon is by The Little Ribbon Shop.

Please check out the challenge blog for details of the prizes.

Whoopsi Daisy Lots of Layers

Thank you all for your kind wishes, my husband is home from hospital and is glad to be back in charge of the TV remote controls. He missed them when he was in hospital and didn't like their little screen!

Anyway, here is the first card I've made for a couple of weeks and it's for Whoopsi Daisy's Challenge of Lots of Layers. I used Sheet 346 for this image. She's a little cutie and you can buy her here.

I used a large scalloped card blank by Craft UK. The pink card is from Papermill and the turquoise pearlescent is from Payper Box. I rounded the corners on the pink card with my Carl corner rounder and the turquoise card was cut with a Spellbinders grand scalloped square nestie. I coloured the image with my Promarkers and after cutting with another Spellbinders nestie I coloured the edges with 'Peacock Feathers' Distress Ink. I set it against another two die cuts in pink and turquoise, the pink paper was a freebie in a magazine and the other was from Costco. The beautiful flowers are from Nataliya's Etsy shop and the ribbon is from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop. Some Card Candi completed the design. I'm sorry that I'm not completely satisfied with this card but at least it's got me back into crafting.

I'm entering my card in to the following challenges:
Card Makin Mamas - 1, 2 , 3 - 1 image check, 2 papers check and 3 embellishments - flowers, bow and Card Candi.

Better today

I'm not completely better but today has been a good day and I feel reasonably fit for a change - the first time since a couple of weeks before Christmas. Blinking vertigo!

I've made a happy cheerful card in lovely colours. I started it and finished it today so things are definitely looking up. lol My card blank is a small 6x6 square by Craft UK. The turqouise card is by Papermill and the flowery backing paper is from Kate Knight's Totally Tropical paper pad. I used turqouise organza ribbon from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop. The digi image I coloured with Promarkers and cut with Spellbinders oval nesties with the scalloped mat. The bling is from a blog candy that I won from Nataliya - thanks Nat. Unfortunately I cannot remember where I got the digi. I lost all my named digis on a CD and I had to resurrect them and store them on a memory stick - no names, doh! My apologies to the artist.

I'm entering my card in to the following challenges:
Ladybug Crafts Ink - Bows
Moving Along With the Times - Things with Wings
Papertake Weekly - Buttons, Bows, Bling and Blooms

Angelina #92

The theme is Use a Digi so head over to One Stitch at a Time Challenge Blog to join us and have fun with this one. I chose the digi, Angelina, designed by Sue of Beary Dust at Stitchybear Digital Stamps.

The card blank is a large scalloped square by Craft UK. I coloured Angelina with Promarkers and then cut the image out using the Spellbinders Grand Nesties label die. I used Distress Ink in Spun Sugar to colour the edges of the label. She has a gold gem to fasten her top! I used a Sakura Stardust pen to outline her and give her a sheen so I hope you can see it on the photo. I cut another label, the next size up, in a pale yellow flowered paper and then matted and layered with pink starry paper and yellow and pink card. I cut two small scalloped circles with a Spellbinders die and used them as a base for a pink grosgrain bow with a pink pearl brad at the centre. The brad is from WOC and the pink ribbon is from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.
