OSAAT #186 Anything Goes
This week's theme over at One Stitch at a Time is Anything Goes so come across and join us. I chose the image this week for some of my team buddies and I chose Stitchy's 'Birthday Girl' over at the Stitchybear Digi Outlet.
I used a large square card blank by Joanna Sheen. The red card is from Papermill and the blue dotted paper was a freebie in a magazine. I coloured the image with my Promarkers using a gold Promarker for her bracelet and earring. After colouring I cut the birthday girl out with a Spellbinders grand nestie oval leaving the balloons flying free! I trimmed three pieces of red card to make a border along the bottom and one side. The diecut in the top right is another Spellbinder die and at the centre of it is a little 'sun' button by Create and Craft. I used another C&C item, the yellow swirl at the join of the red strips, just to add another piece of yellow to even out the design. Red pearls by Kanban were the final addition. I know who will get this card so I hope she appreciates it.
Please check out the prizes at the OSAAT challenge blog - one lucky winner will get all the images used by the DT on challenge 184.

I see what you mean about the border I love how your balloons look almost ready to escape from the picture and float away. Fabulous card, Hazel!
ReplyDeleteLike your whimsy card. I like the colors & the way you cut the balloons. I always say "I'm Forever Young."

Hazel, I so love your patriotic senior citizen flouting convention and obviously enjoying her birthday. What a good job she doesn't have a balloon for every (29) birthdays she's had else she really would be 'flying high'. The narrow red borders and die cut look so crisp and smart against the blue and white paper. I'm having such a smile at this card. Love Ingrid xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a striking card Hazel, beautiful strong colours and so crisp and neat too. The yellow is the perfect touch and the ray of sunshine all us 29 year olds need :) Hugs Jane xxx
ReplyDeleteI love this card! So perfect for my grandparents. I may need to get this image. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing your projects. This one is so cute with the 29 again on her shirt. Don't we all wish!
