OSAAT #174 - Anything Goes
Anything Goes this week! Hurray - everyone's favourite theme. Come and join us over at One Stitch at Time. It was time for Josephine to pick an image for the two of us to use and she chose Claire's Christmas Rooftop. You can get this at the Hope Jacare section of the Stitchybear Digi Outlet.
I coloured the image with Promarkers, using Distress Ink on the sky. The stars were glittered with Sakura's diamond gelly roll pen. The pen adds just the right amount of glimmer to the stars. The snow on the roof and the window sill is done with Floracraft's diamond dust and a touch of glue. The card blank is by Craft UK and the beige card is by Papermill. I printed a sheet of gold/silver stars from a free download site and matted it on to the beige card. I cut the image with a Spellbinders die and matted that on to the beige card too. I placed it to the top left on the design and added a silver Christmas tree, cut with a Memory Box die, to the panel on the right.
A small neat card which won't cost too much for postage.
The winner of this week's challenge will win all the images that the design team used on challenge 172 - lots of beautiful images so you must check out the OSAAT challenge blog to see how you can win.

OSAAT #173 - Favourite Things
This is my card for the challenge over at One Stitch at a Time - Favourite Things. I've used my favourite things: flowers, dies and ribbon plus some faux gems, not forgetting glitter card!
My image this week is by Alipeeps over at Stitchybear Digi Outlet and it's called Spring Flowers. I printed it on to another of my favourites, ivory pearlescent paper by Papermill. I coloured it with Promarkers and cut with a Spellbinder grand nestie circle. I used Distress Ink on the edges so that it would stand out against the Hideway glitter paper from a pad by First Edition. That paper was matted on to bright orange card by Papermill. The card blank is a large cream square by Craft UK. I used my latest Memory Box die, Bella Bouquet, to cut the flowers which were also coloured with Promarkers. The orange satin ribbon is the last of my orange ribbon from Australia. I generated the sentiment on the computer and matted that on to orange card before adding some faux gems from JJD Cards.
The sponsor this week is Creative Craft World with 3 Promarkers for the winner. Please check out the OSAAT blog for details of prizes.

OSAAT #172 - Use a Digi
The theme at One Stitch at a Time this week is 'Use a Digi' so come along and join us. It was my turn to choose for me and my team mate Josephine and I decided to choose 'Bah Humbug' by Stitchy over at the Stitchybear Digi Outlet. This will be my first Christmas card for this year.
The card blank is a large square by Joanna Sheen. I found a copyright free image of roof tiles on the internet and matted that on to Papermill dark blue card which acted as night time sky! It still had a few Memory Box clouds showing in the sky. I used Distress Ink to give a gentle tinge to the edges of the clouds. The sentiment was generated on the computer and I cut it with an X cut large die. The image was coloured with Promarkers and his belt and boots are covered with Sakura's 3D crystal lacquer to make them look glossy. I cut him out by hand leaving a very small white border. He's raised on 3D pads to give depth to the design.
Please check out the OSAAT challenge blog for details of the prizes.

A card just for fun!
Hello everyone - a second post for today! I made a card for fun, no design team work and I think this is one of only a handful I've made since Eric's death. I just haven't been in the mood for crafting and making my design team cards for Stitchybear has actually covered me for family and friend birthdays during the past year. This morning I've finished off a card I started earlier this week. I've been very remiss in my blog entries and blog visits so I must apologise to all those bloggers who have commented time and time again, each week, and had nothing in return from me.
I was going to enter it into the Joanna Sheen craft forum monthly challenge and then I thought I would add it to my blog too.
The large square card blank is by Joanna Sheen. The image is from Joanna Sheen's Enchanted Dreams CD. I matted it on to Papermill purple card. The backing paper is from Chocolate Baroque's Peacock Summer Party CD and I matted that on to Papermill's cerise card. The little butterflies are all cut with a Martha Stewart punch in various papers. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves are all dies by Crealies and Marianne.
I'm entering it in to the following challenges:
The CD Sunday Challenge - Hats
Jellypark Friends Challenge - Celebrate Summer
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
OSAAT #171 - Fold It
Here I am with another design team card for the challenge over at One Stitch at a Time. The theme this week is Fold It so we need to see folds in your card or papers. I had to choose one of Jane's images - under Coosty Creations, over at Stitchybear Digital Outlet. I eventually chose the Purrfect Paper Pack and in it you get four papers and the image of the sleeping cat. I love cats and it was no hardship for me having to colour this one. I thought, at this point, you might want to see my cats so here they are. I have two tortoiseshell females, Casey is the black tortie and Gracie is the white one.
Check out the OSAAT challenge blog for details of the prizes.
I used a Joanna Sheen large square card blank and the orange card mat is from Papermill. I coloured the cat image with Promarkers and used a Spellbinders grand nestie to cut it out. I printed two of the papers, the same one, and after fixing the oval to the top of one sheet I concertina folded the second sheet and affixed it under the image. It looks to me as if the cat is lying on a blanket on a shelf (do you think?). I used a Darice embossing folder to emboss a strip of white card and I used Distress Ink to pick out the paws. I then cut out the smaller paws and added those to the panel down the left side. I added faux gems to the top right and bottom left of the paper. I bought these from JJD Cards at Bluewater Craft Fair last year.
I'm entering my card in to the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp and Show -Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes (with option of animals/creatures/animal prints)

OSAAT #170 - Anything Goes
The theme this week at One Stitch at a Time is Anything Goes. It was Josephine's turn to pick for the two of us to use this week. She chose Ocean Blue Paper Pack 2 by Oase of Panda Bear over at Stitchybear Digital Outlet and to go with these wonderful papers she chose the image, Ocean Floor, by Stitchy.
The card blank is by Joanna Sheen. I chopped the front of the large 8x8 square card and covered it with the rolling seas paper, using a strip down the outside edge of the card. My idea was to give you the feeling that the mermaid is at the bottom of these rolling waves. I coloured the image with my Promarkers and used a Sakura diamond pen to add some sheen to the tail, fin and hair of the mermaid. I cut round the image and used Distress Ink round the edges. A Memory Box die, Loopy Rings, cut in silver lightweight card, act as bubbles. I generated the sentiment on the computer and cut it with my brand new Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangle which arrived in the post this morning! This was also given some Distress Ink treatment.
Please check the OSAAT challenge blog for details of the prizes.

OSAAT #169 - Not Square
Well, I'm home from my break in Kent and raring to go with my DT cards again. This one, though, was a pain to photograph. I'm not a photographer and had a heck of a job trying to get a reasonable shot of this one, with no Eric to help me.
This week the theme at One Stitch at a Time is Not Square so I made an easel card. The image is Boxer by Sue of Beary Dust over at the Stitchybear Digital Outlet. He's got such a cute little face and looks so sad but I bet he causes havoc when let loose! I made the card for my son Peter and he's already received it so it's quite safe to post it on here now! He did say that he thought I'd gone senile and written on the front of the card - until he realised which way it folded.
I coloured him with my Promarkers, cut him with a Spellbinders nestie and edged that with Distress Ink before matting on to black pearlescent card from Papermill. The backing paper on the base and the side panel is from Costco and that was matted on to black Mirri card. I generated the sentiment on the computer and matted that on to black Mirri card too to make the stopper for the easel. I used three buttons, kennel, woof and dog as embellishments and they were all from Create and Craft.
Check out the OSAAT challenge blog for details of the prize structure.
