OSAAT #196 - Use a Digi
The theme this week is Use a Digi over at One Stitch at a Time so come along and join us. The image this week was chosen by Josephine and it's called Finch on a Pine by Ike over at Stitchybear Digi Outlet.
The prize this week will be all the images used by the design team on challenge 194 but please come over to the OSAAT blog to see the prize structure.
My card is a small Craft UK card. I've had the backing paper for ages and have no idea where I got it though I do know that I used a Crafter's Companion embossalicious folder on it. The dark brown pearlised card is by Papermill. I coloured the image with my Promarkers and cut it with one of the 'dies that have no name' that I bought from Joanna Sheen a few months ago. They were very cheap and in unusual shapes that have come in very handy on some cards. I treated myself to some new dies this week and the bird nest is one of them. It's a die-namite die and from Joanna Sheen. I used the same brown pearlised card for the nest and then added some Card Candi to two of the corners.
I'm entering my card into the following challenges:
Brown Sugar - Anything Goes
Digitally Sweet Challenges - Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Emboss It
The Sisterhood of Crafters - Use something new

What stunning dies you have used, you did well with the cheapies, love the leaf shape but have to admit, just adore the birds nest one you have just bought. Awesome colouring on the digi, the bird is so real it could be flying away any moment :) Big hugs Jane xxxx
ReplyDeleteHazel i am loving the neutral and earthy tones and great colouring...i LOVE the leaves embossed on the back ground and the lovely bird nest. Beautiful. Your fellow OSAAT Angel teamie Anita xx
ReplyDeleteHow absolutely gorgeous this card is Hazel ....I love all your shades of Nature and your colouring of your image. The embossing is terrific as it reflects the pine leaves in your image. I had to do a double take on your brads as, at first look, I saw them as pine cones. Good on you treating yourself to some new dies ...The bird's nest is perfect for this great card. Love Ingrid xxx ♥
ReplyDeleteThe bird nest compliments the bird image on the card wonderfully. Do not see Finches here in Central TX. Have seen Robins early this yr during the unusual temps we have had.
