Inspiration Destination Challenge 4

This is challenge 4 at Inspiration Destination so come along and join in the fun. This week I have two cards to show you. We are being sponsored by Sweet 7 and Crafty Sentiments and I have a card showing an image from each sponsor.

My first card is using the image of a sweet little ghost and the sentiment 'Boo to You', both by Sweet 7.

My card blank is a large square by Joanna Sheen. The leather look card is by Papermill and I thought it perfect for the background to this cute little ghost. The only time I needed my Promarkers was to colour the bow and, of course, it had to be red.I cut out the sentiment and matted it on to bright red card, again by Papermill. The only embellishment was a red square button, tied with black silk, both from my stash.

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

Pumpkin Spice Saturday Challenge - Harvest or Halloween
Crafty Catz Challenge - Black with one other colour
Fairy Tale Challenge - Happy Halloween
Simply Create Too - Halloween or Lots of Orange
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
The Stamping Boutique - Trick or Treat
Sentimental Sundays Challenge - Too cute to spook

This image is Lola by Crafty Sentiments.

I coloured her with Promarkers. The pink paper is by Papermill and I embossed it with my new embossing folder 'Rows of Bows' by Creative Expressions (I think!). I matted the embossed sheet on to pink card, also by Papermill. The pearls are from Meiflower and the pink metal charm is from Create and Craft. The sentiment is one from a sheet of sentiment by PaperArtsy. I matted it on to pink card and then added that to one of Sue Wilson's bow dies just to give a little extra to the shape.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Allsorts Challenge - Embossing
Crafting at the Weekend - Anything Goes 3rd Entry
Hiding in my Craft Room - Embossing
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
Dragonfly Dreams Challenge - Mainly Pink
Crafty Sentiments Designs - Use a sentiment
Die Cuttin Divas - Think Pink
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes

Green and Purple

Green and Purple is the theme of the Crafty Sentiments Challenge Blog. I used a small 6x6 card blank by Craft UK. The purple Mirri card is from Joanna Sheen and the lilac card is from Papermill. I also used a strip of green Papermill card and embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder. The Crafty Sentiment's image of Pat in Summer was coloured with Promarkers and cut with a Spellbinders oval nestie before edging with Distress Ink in Dusty Concord. I backed the image with a purple Mirri card scalloped nestie. The strip of green card was butted against a strip of purple ribbon, bought in Australia last year. I finished off the design with three green Card Candi pieces.

I feel much better today, though the vertigo continues to knock me sideways. lol  Stay happy.

Recipe Card

I've just finished a card that I started yesterday when I couldn't get into it and had to give up. It's done and I'll have to try to find my mojo before I attempt any more this week.

The challenge is over at Crafty Sentiments Challenge Blog and has a recipe of Ribbon, Image, Paper and I've used a freebie image that they provided, thank you.

The card is a small square from Craft UK. The purple card is from Papermill and the backing paper is from a freebie pad by Milton and Co that I received in a magazine a few weeks ago. The image is coloured with Promarkers. The ribbon is from Australia, yes, I'm still using a stash that I brought back last year! The large brads and the little pearls are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Crafty Sentiments

At last I felt like making a card. I haven't made one since Sunday and haven't posted on my blog either! This card is to enter the Crafty Sentiments Challenge which has the theme Ribbons and Bows.
I used a Craft UK card blank with a scalloped edge. The striped backing paper is from my Desert Blooms pad and the gold card is from Create and Craft. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the orange Papermill card. The digi is 'Pat in Summer' from Suzette at Crafty Sentiments. This is one of three digis I won in a previous challenge and I've used them a lot. She's coloured with Promarkers and I cut her with a Spellbinders nestie rectangle. It's edged in  tattered rose Distress Ink. I bought the orange ribbon in Australia last year. I think I bought every colour and it was a bargain.

ABC Papertake

I've combined two challenges: ABC Challenge - Auburn and Papertake Weekly - Anything goes (with the option of using metal).

My card blank is by Craft UK and the two backing papers are by Kay and Company and Costco. The digi is by Crafty Sentiments and I've coloured her with Promarkers before tearing the edges and distressing. My label was designed by my husband and I've distressed it (a lot!) with peeled paint Distress Ink that I also used on the image. The baker's twine is by WOC and the ribbon is from Hobbycraft. The charm, flowers and brads are from Create and Craft.

I've just noticed (doh!) that the left side of the card looks brown. It's actually a muted shade of green and so is the ribbon which looks beige. Weird.

Z is for Zoo

The ABC Challenge this week is Zoo animals. It must be bath time at the zoo because my bear is in the bath. I've used a large square card blank by Craft UK. It's a Crafty Sentiments digital stamp and he is coloured with Promarkers and the bath water and bubbles are coloured with a Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust pen. The image has been cut with a Spellbinders die and backed with a Marianne doiley die. The backing paper is from the Desert Blooms pad and the buttons are from Create and Craft. The ribbon is from Hobbycraft. The ticket is one made for me by my husband and I've dabbed it with Rangers Distress Ink in Marigold.

Card for a Child

The challenge set this week by Crafty Sentiments is a Card for a Child. I've used a large scalloped card blank by Craft UK. The glittered backing paper is from a Desert Blooms pad and I've cut it with a large Spellbinders scalloped nestie. The free digi, Amy, is from Crafty Sentiments and I've coloured her with Promarkers before cutting with an oval nestie and backing with a pink scalloped nestie. The LOTV sentiment is stamped in Versacolor ink on to a lacey nestie. Pink feathers from Create and Craft are to the right and the pink pearls are from WOC. I think this would be a card for a little girl!!

Crafty Sentiments

The Crafty Sentiments Challenge this week is Christmas in June. Now I thought this challenge should include Santa in shorts or carol singers on the beach but all the DT cards showed a 'normal' type Christmas card so that's what I've done eventually. The card blank is, as usual, by Craft UK and the silver card is from Create and Craft. The Crafty Sentiments digi, Charles Bear, is coloured with Promarkers and set on a Spellbinders nestie with a red Mirri board nestie behind. I've used two rub ons by Karen Foster - Naughty or Nice and Santa's coming - I've had these for a few years but can't remember buying them so maybe I won them in a competition. The little stocking tag is tied with a red organza ribbon, both from my stash. Charles Bear is in the bath and the bubbles and water are coloured with the Aqua Promarker and then covered with a Sakura Gelly Roll pen in a silvery colour. It looks quite effective IRL but doesn't show up so well on the photo.
