OSAAT #186 Anything Goes

This week's theme over at One Stitch at a Time is Anything Goes so come across and join us. I chose the image this week for some of my team buddies and I chose Stitchy's 'Birthday Girl' over at the Stitchybear Digi Outlet.

I used a large square card blank by Joanna Sheen. The red card is from Papermill and the blue dotted paper was a freebie in a magazine. I coloured the image with my Promarkers using a gold Promarker for her bracelet and earring. After colouring I cut the birthday girl out with a Spellbinders grand nestie oval leaving the balloons flying free!  I trimmed three pieces of red card to make a border along the bottom and one side. The diecut in the top right is another Spellbinder die and at the centre of it is a little 'sun' button by Create and Craft. I used another C&C item, the yellow swirl at the join of the red strips, just to add another piece of yellow to even out the design. Red pearls by Kanban were the final addition. I know who will get this card so I hope she appreciates it.

Please check out the prizes at the OSAAT challenge blog - one lucky winner will get all the images used by the DT on challenge 184.

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

#126 Anything Goes

The theme at One Stitch at a Time is Anything Goes so come along and join, you'll enjoy it. Josephine had the task of choosing an image for the two of us to use and she chose this wonderful image, Woodland Scene, by Donna (Lil Diva) of Stitchybear Digital Stamps Shop.

I framed the image with silver card and set it an angle on a mat of black and silver card. The black card is from Papermill and the silver card was in a Secret Santa gift so I have no idea of the maker. The silver leaves are all from Spellbinders and Marianne dies. The three pearls are from Kanban. I hope I've done this beautiful image justice.

The sponsor this week is Creative Craft World but please check the OSAAT blog for the prize structure.

I'm entering this card in to the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Craft your Passion- Anything Goes
Lexi's Creations - Sparkle and Shine
Love to Create - Punches and Dies
The Crazy Challenge - Black, white and 1 other. Mine - black, white and silver

Sunset

The theme at the CD Sunday challenge blog is Sunsets. I had a bit of a job finding a sunset and I think this one just meets the criteria. I've got a stamp for a sunrise but not a sunset so I had to rely on my CDs for the main image.  I trawled through quite a few before I hit on Thomas Kinkade and found this image which is called something like a quiet evening. I reckon the shades in the sky show the sunset which is just out of view because of the roof and the trees. lol

My card blank is a large square by Craft UK and the yellow card is by Papermill. The gold Mirri card is from Joanna Sheen, as is the Thomas Kinkade CD. The image was matted on to gold Mirri card and set at the top left of the card. I embossed a strip of gold Mirri card with a Cuttlebug border folder and edged that with gold peel offs to add a bit more bling! The strip of card was set across the bottom of the card and three yellow pearls from Kanban are at the top right.

Another sketch

I've made a second card today so I'm back on a roll. This is to enter the Willow Sketchie Challenge and follows the sketch provided.
I used a 7 inch square card that I made with Papermill card. I've used two different backing papers but it's from my stash that I've had for ages so can't remember where I bought it, sorry. I can't remember where I got the free digi either, my apologies to the artist! I coloured the elephants with Promarkers. The pink card is also from Papermill, the pearls are from Kanban and the (image) doh! I meant sentiment was generated on the computer.

I've used a digi from Stitchybear. The card blank is by Craft UK and the beautiful backing paper is from my Desert Blooms pad. The image has been coloured with Promarkers and cut with a Spellbinders rectangle die. The peach coloured card is from Papermill and is used for the backing of the image and the sentiment which was generated on the computer. The flowers are from WOC and the leaves cut with Crealies and Marianne dies. The corner is another Spellbinder die and the pearls are from Kanban.
