Moving Along with the Times - Thank You

This week the theme at Moving Along with the Times is 'Thank you' and this theme was set by Claire for Team B. It's a perfect time for all those thank you cards so this works out perfectly.

My card is a small Craft UK card and the blue and brown card is by Papermill. The backing paper is from Hot off the Press. I used a Spellbinders resplendent rectangle for the backing to the Signature die cut of Rosebud Flourish by Joanna Sheen. I have to say that these dies cut perfectly every time and are so easy to release. I coloured the rosebud flourish with my Promarkers. I generated the sentiment on the computer and after cutting with a Carl round corner punch I backed it with more brown card. I think it looks quite effective and this is another of my cards that I actually like! lol

I'm entering my card in to the following challenges:

Well, I didn't enter any challenges because I've been really poorly and not had the chance to check any out. This is the first time I've been on my blog for a while, everything has been scheduled, but I'm hoping that I'm back into the swing of things for the year ahead. Happy new year to you all and thank you so much for putting up with my moans over the last year.

#114 Anything Goes

This week the challenge at One Stitch at a Time is Anything Goes. My DT buddy, Josephine, had to choose the image for us both and she chose the image Arianna by Sue.You can buy Arianna at the Stitchybear Digital Stamp Shop.

I coloured Arianna with my Promarkers and then cut the image in to a rectangle, matting it on to pink card. The pink card is from Papermill and the backing paper is a from a freebie pack of Hot off the Press papers that I got in a magazine. The dusky pink paper is from my stash and I've had it so long I have no idea where it came from. I used my Spellbinders dies to cut the corners and the border. The doiley shape is cut with a Marianne Creatables die. As per usual my card blank is by Craft UK.

Our sponsor this week is our own Stitchybear.

I'm going to a big Country Fair today so I'll link to the challenges and comment on the rest of the DT cards on my return - hopefully having sold lots of cards!

Christmas Wishes

Here is my card for the first challenge on Joanna Sheen's Challenge Blog which has the theme 'Christmas Wishes'.

I've used a small House Mouse image of poor little HM shivering on the tree branch. The card blank is from Craft UK via Joanna Sheen's online store and the silver sparkle backing paper is from Papermania via Create and Craft. The two patterned backing papers are from Hot off the Press and My Mind's Eye. The HM image, from Joanna Sheen, was coloured with Promarkers and cut with a Spellbinders beaded circles nestie. Diamond Dust is added for the snow. Small silvery blue pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The image is raised to give a little depth. The other image is a freebie digi from Shelly's Images and that has been given the Promarker and Diamond Dust treatment. The message, handwritten in Sakura Stardust pen, says Christmas is coming. Some small snowflakes have been stamped down the right top edge of the card and embossed with fluorescent glitter.

Christmas #86

Yes, this week's challenge at One Stitch at a Time is Use a Digi - NO, it's not, it's Christmas!!  That's an easy one for you and if you're having difficulty finding a digi you should check out Stitchy's shop for some wonderful images. I chose to use Stitchy's 'Sweet Santa', isn't he lovely? The small square card blank is from Craft UK and I scored it to make an easel card. I coloured the image with Promarkers and cut out his mirror to back it with the silver card. He can now check out his image as much as he wants. lol After I'd coloured him I cut him with a Spellbinders nestie before cutting a larger size in Papermill silver to back it.  The red paper and the sentiment are from a freebie HOTP paper pad that I got in a magazine a while ago. I backed the sentiment with silver and I used the Spellbinders scroll and corner to enhance the base. The sentiment is 'fastened' in place with two red pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Please come and enter the challenge over at OSAAT. The sponsor this week is our own Stitichybear so check the store out now, in case you're the winner! http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/
