Joanna Sheen CD

The theme at The CD Sunday Challenge is Tag it and the Joanna Sheen Forum has a fun monthly challenge and February's challenge is 'your first JS CD'. I thought I would combine both these challenges.

I know that this wasn't my first Joanna Sheen CD but as I can't remember which one WAS my first, and I have so many, I thought I would use one of her first CDs that she had made. - Say it with Flowers.

I haven't made an A6 card for years but because the images are so small on this CD I decided to go with a small card. I made it with Papermill lilac card. The image and the backing paper are both from the said CD. The slightly darker purple card is also from Papermill. The tag and ribbon are both from Create and Craft. I stamped it with one of Anita's tiny heart stamps using Distress Ink's Dusty Concord. I added purple glitter to the blotches and hearts.

Off for a visit

I'll not be around much over the next week so I'll apologise now for not catching up with you all. I'll miss you.

Eric's in hospital for an infusion all day on Tuesday and I'll be with him to keep him company. On Wednesday we're going by train to Kent to stay with our son Peter and DIL Wendy. It'll give Eric AND ME a chance to recharge our batteries. Eric can do next to nothing to help now so the jobs all fall to me, house and garden. He can drive to collect the papers from the papershop every morning and that's about it. I hope I'm going to a craft show at Bluewater shopping centre whilst we are down there. I'll go with Wendy and Eric will spend time with Peter in the shopping mall, probably drinking coffee.

I'll be missing for a few days but I have my DT card scheduled for Sunday and I hope I'll be able to link it to challenges on Peter's computer. I won't be using the computer otherwise so I'll be AWOL for a short while. We're coming home on Monday so it's just a short break but a very welcome one. We have the cat sitter coming to look after Gracie and Casey.

Have a good week and if I get to the craft show I'll tell you all about it when I get home.

#98 Use a digi

The theme this week at One Stitch at a Time is Use a Digi. If you haven't any digis then please head over to Stitchybear Digital Stamp Shop and you'll be able to get loads of beauties.

I've used a Craft UK square card blank and the purple card is from Papermill. The spotted paper, matted and layered on to the purple card, is from a Desert Blooms pad by First Edition. I coloured the Iris image, by Teri of Delicious Doodles at Stitchybear Digital Stamps, with my Promarkers and cut it with a Spellbinders nestie and framed it with the larger size nestie in purple. A purple ribbon that I bought in Australia in 2010 is across the bottom and has three small purple pearls by WOC to finish it off.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Stitchybear. Wonderful, I love all of the images in the shop.

I'm entering my card in to the following challenges:
Die Cuttin Divas - Buttons, Bling and/or bows
Digi Doodle Shop's Best - Anything Goes
Moving Along With The Times - Blooming Marvellous
I Love Promarkers - Purple and Pink
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

Zodiac

The theme of the challenge at The CD Sunday Challenge blog is the Zodiac. I love Autumn cards and as my sister's birthday is October and she's a Libra I thought I would use this autumn image from Joanna Sheen's  Jane Shasky CD. The backing paper is also from that CD and the yellow card is from Papermill. The small square card blank is from Craft UK. I cut the leaves with my Spellbinders die and Marianne die. I generated the sentiment on the computer and that was it finished. I've had a busy week visiting hospitals with Eric and next week will be just the same! I've hardly had any time for crafting so I'm surprised that I got this done today. Men just aren't very considerate, are they?  Lol   Bless him.

Blue and Pink Bling

I've made this card this afternoon. I'm back into crafting!

The card is a small square blank by Craft UK. The pink card is by Papermill and the backing paper is My Mind's Eye. The image is a freebie by Whoopsi Daisy and I coloured her with Promarkers and cut with a Spellbinders lacy nestie. I added a blue satin ribbon from my stock that I bought in Australia. The little pink pearls are by Wild Orchid Crafts. The butterfly was in my Secret Santa parcel and is from Lakeland.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

The Ribbon Girl - Blue and Pink
Whoopsi Daisy - Bling it
Wild Orchid Crafts - Creature Comforts

Better today

I'm not completely better but today has been a good day and I feel reasonably fit for a change - the first time since a couple of weeks before Christmas. Blinking vertigo!

I've made a happy cheerful card in lovely colours. I started it and finished it today so things are definitely looking up. lol My card blank is a small 6x6 square by Craft UK. The turqouise card is by Papermill and the flowery backing paper is from Kate Knight's Totally Tropical paper pad. I used turqouise organza ribbon from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop. The digi image I coloured with Promarkers and cut with Spellbinders oval nesties with the scalloped mat. The bling is from a blog candy that I won from Nataliya - thanks Nat. Unfortunately I cannot remember where I got the digi. I lost all my named digis on a CD and I had to resurrect them and store them on a memory stick - no names, doh! My apologies to the artist.

I'm entering my card in to the following challenges:
Ladybug Crafts Ink - Bows
Moving Along With the Times - Things with Wings
Papertake Weekly - Buttons, Bows, Bling and Blooms

#97 Round and Round

The theme is Round and Round for the challenge over at One Stitch at a Time. Check it out because we have two winners' prizes up for grabs this week. One is a 10$ gift certificate from The Robin's Nest

and the other is 3 Promarkers from Creative Craft World.

Come and join us and be lucky! My image is by Sylvie over at Stitchybear's Digital Stamps Store.

I decided to use a small, white, square Craft UK card blank and then I cut it in to a circular card using one of my Spellbinders Grand Nesties. I also cut a circle of gold card and then a smaller circle of red patterned paper as the backing frame to Sylvie's digi image of a Geisha Girl - isn't she beautiful?  I coloured her with my Promarkers, I do love using these as you know! The gold card I received in a Secret Santa parcel and the red paper is frorm Create and Craft. I made up a flower arrangement to echo the flower in her hair. I used a Wild Orchid Craft flower and backed it with leaves cut with a Crealies die. To make the wooden embellishment I cut a wooden cocktail stick in half and sanded the edges to smooth them. I think it looks quite effective, although I do say so myself.

I'm entering this card in to the following challenges:
Whoopsi Daisy - Anything But Square
I love Promarkers Challenge 100 - Anything Goes - with Promarkers
Raise the Bar - 'Ring' in the New Year - Circles
