OSAAT #178 - Anything Goes
This week's theme is 'Anything Goes' so pop over to One Stitch at a Time challenge blog and join us.
HOWEVER, THIS WEEK WE HAVE A SPECIAL CHALLENGE AND YOU MUST ONLY USE STITCHYBEAR DIGI IMAGES.
Shell chose the image for herself, Josephine and me to use this week. She chose 'Pretty in Sari' by Priyanka at My Heart Pieces over at Stitchybear Digi Outlet. We have dozens of creators who have some wonderful digi images in the store so come and check them out, buy your favourites and join us with this challenge.
I coloured the image with Promarkers, making the wings sparkle with a Sakura diamond pen, and cut it with a Spellbinders lacy circle die. I used a small Craft UK card blank. The backing paper was from a freebie pad that I got in a craft magazine MONTHS ago. I matted it on to dark green Papermill card and used the same green card to cut two corners, again Spellbinders. I put lime green gems around the lacy circle and added a small metal charm to the bottom corner. The gems and the charm are from Create and Craft.
Please check the OSAAT blog for details of the prizes. A special challenge means special prizes.
I'm entering this card in to the following challenges:
The Crafty Bloggers Network Challenge - Favourite Things - die cuts and gems
Lexi's Creations Challenge - Sparkle and Shine - faux gems and the wings have been glittered with Sakura
Crafty Sentiments Challenge - Colourful
Passion for Promarkers Challenge - Favourite Colour Combo - has to be anything with green!
Shopping Our Stash Challenge - Oldest Hardware - has to be metal charm as I've had this supply for about ten years and I think it's the first one I've used.
Through the Craftroom Door Challenge - Anything Goes
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything Goes
Digistamps4joy -Anything Goes

She doesn't look at all orange to me - she looks lovely! I find darker skins very hard - but then, I'm so pale that my 'default' skin tones are paler than most folk. (Dusky pink, blush, almond.)I love the colours you chose, and that charm is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty and delicate card Hazel. I love the calmness of the green and your digi is so beautifully coloured that she looks as though she is just going to float off your card to visit me. I love how her wings sparkle and that you have used fewer, but very effective embellishments. Totally lovely. Ingrid xx
ReplyDeleteLike the green color. My daughter's fav color is green. Wonderful w/ the gems, flourishes & charm to complement the flow of the image's outfit.

I love the colour you have chosen for your card Hazel, it really is a lovely shade of green. She is such a lovely image as well and the die cuts and embellishment charm really go well together.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you Sue Pxxx
PS Thank you for the tip about using the Sakura pen on the wings, I always use glitter and sometimes find it a little tooooo much. I will give Sakura a try next time.
Beautiful card Hazel.
