MAWTT - Use 4 items beginning with L
This is my first post for Moving Along with the Times when I'm acting as host. I chose the theme 'Use 4 items beginning with L'. I then had to start thinking of items beginning with the letter L - yikes! Who thought of this theme? Doh!!
I eventually settled on Label, Lace, Leaves, and Love.
My card blank is a large 8x8 square by Joanna Sheen. I've used an image, Forest Friends, by Teri of Delicious Doodles and coloured her with my Promarkers and added Sakura Stardust pen to her wings. I very carefully cut round the image. I used a mat of silver card and then topped that with a square of yellow Papermill card, embossed using a Crafter's Companion embossalicious folder of leaves. Before fixing it to the card blank I wrapped a piece of light tan lace, from the local market, round the bottom and then put the image so that she is resting on the lace. I coloured a LOTV label with a Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink and then raised it in the top left corner. To add to the image of woodland creatures I used wooden embellishments, from Create and Craft, of a snail, dragonfly and butterfly. I left them uncoloured and that was my card finished.
I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

Delicious Doodles Challenge - Bloom and Yellow - the lace has blooms on it so I hope this counts.

OSAAT #201 - Girly
Come and join us at One Stitch at a Time for the challenge set this week which has a Girly theme. I chose the image Dragonfly/Waterlily by Craftygirl over at the Stitchybear Digi Outlet.
My card blank is a large scalloped square by Craft UK. The pink and turquoise card is by Papermill and I embossed the pink card with a Crafter's Companion embossalicious folder of butterflies. I rounded the corners of the turquoise card with a Carl corner punch and cut the pink with a Spellbinders grand scalloped nestie. The image was coloured mainly with my Promarkers though I did use a Sakura glitter pen on the dragonfly to give it a sheen. I then cut it out with a Spellbinders grand oval nestie. I gave a shadow to the image and round the edge of the oval with an ivory coloured Promarker. The turquoise ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl and the little wooden dragonfly, once again coloured with the Sakura pen, is from Create and Craft.
The sponsor this week is Stitchy with 7 digis but do check out the OSAAT blog to get full details of the prizes on offer.

OSAAT #200 - Use a Digi
I've used a small card blank from Craft UK for this week's card at One Stitch at a Time. The theme is Use a Digi and Shell chose the image for some of the DT to use this week. She chose Ike's image 'Fairy' which you can buy at Stitchybear Digi Outlet.
I coloured the image with my Promarkers and then cut it out using one of the cheap dies I bought from Joanna Sheen a while ago. After colouring the wings I covered them with a Sakura stardust pen to give them a sheen. I typed Believe and cut that out with a Spellbinders die. The dusky pink card that I bought from Payper Box is embossed with a Crafter's Companion embossalicious folder of clouds. I know it looks quite orangey in this photo but it is dusky pink, I promise. I matted the dusky pink card on to some gold glitter paper from a Papermania pad. All I had to do then was add three small shiny gold stars that I've had for ages and ages and they came from Create and Craft.
Please check ou the OSAAT blog for details of the prizes.

Moving Along with the Times - Fantasy
Vicky is the hostess this week at Moving Along with the Times and she chose as the theme 'Fantasy'.
I used a large square card blank by Joanna Sheen. The purple Mirri card is also from JS, the blue card and the mottled lilac card, both in the mat, are by Papermill. When I heard the theme was to be Fantasy I thought I would struggle but then I remembered that I had the Enchanted Dreams CD by Joanna Sheen so I delved into the CD - the first time for more than a year that I've used a CD in crafting. After choosing the image I mounted it on to the purple Mirri card and set it in the top left corner. I used Memory Box dies, Fresh Foliage and Loopy Rings, to sort of' echo some of the images in the scene . I thought this card would be good for any number of occasions - even a Valentine card as the girl in the image is blowing a kiss. I also added some flowers that I've had for the last few years but I'm blowed if I can remember the name of them and there's no name on the boxes! They have glittered buttons, like Fruit Pastilles, in the centres. I'm sure someone will be able to remind me.
Do come along and join us and check out the wonderful cards made by Team B of the MAWTT design team.

OSAAT ~199 - With Love
This week I decided to make a little stand up plaque for a friend, using the image 'Angel Kisses' by Stitchy over at Stitchybear Digi Outlet. The theme at One Stitch at a Time is 'With Love' so it suits this image beautifully.
I used a rectangular offcut of mountboard and coloured it over all with Barn Door Distress Ink. I coloured the image with my Promarkers and fussy cut before sticking to the base. I then used a Tattered Lace die to cut the little heart flourishes - they are attached to a much larger heart die but I've used the flourishes more than the heart! The flourishes were cut in a red card that has a sheen, not quite a Mirri board, and I'm not sure where I got this. Quite a simple project this week but I think it looks quite effective, I hope you agree. In fact, I enjoyed making this so much that I've made another five - some with inspiring words and one with a funny comment for my son. He liked the plaque but decided he didn't have anywhere to display it!!
Please check out all the DT cards over at OSAAT and also check out the prize structure. The prize will be $9 to spend in the Stitchy store for the winner who uses a Stitchybear product.

OSAAT #198 - Anything Goes
Come and join us again at One Stitch at a Time where the theme this week is Anything Goes - you know you all love that theme.
I chose Beary Dust's 'Shih Tsu' and you can buy this image at the Stitchybear Digi Outlet. Check out the rest of the DT cards and you'll see what Josephine and Shell did with the image that I chose for us.
My card blank is a large square by Joanna Sheen and the yellow card is from Papermill. The backing paper is from a Hideaway pad by First Edition. I coloured the image with ONE Promarker and then because of having withdrawal symptoms I decided to add a flower border so that I could use my Promarkers on that too. The Summer Border is a die by Memory Box as are the Precious Hearts. The bunting is a Signature die by Joanna Sheen. This card is for a young friend so I added the sentiment 'With Love' which I generated on the computer. I reckon this ties in with the precious hearts and the heart bunting. I hope she likes it.
The prize this week is donated by the Stitchybear Digi Outlet and will be all the images used by the DT on challenge 196 but check out the OSAAT blog for full details.
