MAWTT In the Wild

This week it's my turn to host the challenge over at Moving Along with the Times and I chose the theme In the Wild. So come along and join us with your take on this theme - country, weather, animal or whatever it conjures up for you.

I chose to use the tiger image available at Fitztown as I've had the image for a while and not used it. My large square card blank is by Joanna Sheen. I used a Clarity stencil to create the reeds and leaves behind the tiger, using a Frayed Burlap Distress Ink through the stencil to give the sludgy colour. The image was coloured with my Promarkers and then I tore it out close to the outline. My Spellbinder leaf dies came into play again as I placed a couple under the tiger and some hanging over his head. To finish it off I used my Spritzer and Marsh green Promarker to spritz the whole page to give it an undergrowth feel. I'm not sure that it worked but with my eyes the way they are I had to settle for this.

I look forward to having my eyes put right eventually so that I can join in and comment on all your lovely entries.

Fitztown - Use Green

This month the theme over at the Fitztown Challenge Blog is Use Green. I used the image Cameo 16 which is available at the Fitztown Store.

I used a large scalloped card blank by Craft UK. The pink card is by Papermill and I've matted a sheet of green backing paper from The Works on to it. The image was coloured with my Promarkers. If you've read my last post you will know that my Grand Calibur broke yesterday so I had to cut the image into a rectangle without using my dies. Ugh. I matted the image on to pink card too. All the corners were rounded with my Carl corner punch. Fortunately I had some leaves and swirls already cut and in my diecut box so I had to root around in there to find some to add to my flower.  My only other embellishments were some new iridescent gems from Reflections that I bought in Florida at Christmas.

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:
Scrapbooker PhD challenge: Bling
Crafting  for all Seasons Challenge:  Girly Girls

MAWTT 3 in a row

This week it's Sue B's turn to host the challenge over at Moving Along with the Times and she chose as her theme 'Three in a Row'. WHAT I DIDN'T DO IS CHECK TO SEE WHAT THE THREE IN A ROW ENTAILED AND IT WAS MEANT TO BE A BINGO THREE IN A ROW, Therefore my card doesn't fit the criteria specified - so much for this design team member being on the ball! lol Please come along and join in with us and see if you can make a card that fits the bill. This is the Bingo card - please tell us which row you have used.

I can't believe this because I'd had so much hassle getting the card made in the first place.
I managed to get it started and then I had so much bother getting this card finished. My eyes have been really bad for weeks now and, fortunately, I was way ahead with all my DT cards, until this week! Ugh. To top it all off my grand calibur broke today as I was trying to emboss so my card has turned out completely different from the way it was imagined.

My large card blank is by Craft UK and the backing paper is from a vintage pad from The Works. I rounded the corners with my Carl corner punch. I'm so pleased that I'd managed to get the butterflies cut before the GC died completely. They are Spellbinder butterfly dies, medium and small size. The bunting is a Signature die by Joanna Sheen and the sentiment stamp is from a freebie in a magazine
(I think, if my memory serves me right) lol. The pink and purple card is all by Papermill.

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:
Scrapper's Delights Challenge - Anything Goes
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Things that Fly
Mema's Crafts March Challenge - Anything Goes
The Sisters of Craft Challenge - Anything Goes
