A bird in the hand?

I decided to make another card with this lovely digi from Stitchybear Digital Stamp Shop. It's a few months since I last used it so it was obviously time to colour it again. My card blank was a small square from Craft UK. I used my Promarkers and cut it with my Spellbinders circle nestie, leaving the tail intact, jutting out of the circle. It was edged with Distress Ink before being set against a white embossed panel. My new Spellbinder M-Bossabilities folder came into play and I used the foliage side of the folder. I'm really impressed with these folders, they do emboss beautifully. I matted the embossed panel on to pale blue pearlescent card from Payper Box and then matted that on to dark teal card from I know not where! It's a plain and simple card which suits me fine.

I'm entering this card in to the following challenges:
Catch the Bug - Things with Wings
Craft Your Days Away - All creatures great and small
Crafty Calendar - Things with Wings
Paper Sundaes - Things with Wings
Stampin Sisters in Christ - Animal, bird or bug
Crazy Challenge - Outside

  7. Stunning colouring Hazel. Beautiful card and I love the embossed background. Your comment made me laugh - no the card on my blog isn't a birthday card to myself. But, my husband, dad and grandma all asked me to make cards for them to give me! Won't have many surprises opening them tomorrow - at least I know I like the cards!! Big hugs, Jayne xx
