Nothing Interesting!

I know that I said that I would start 'talking' to you all so that it would occupy me and keep you up to date with my life but I've been down over the past few days. It just hits me and I try so hard to dig myself out of it but I just have to wait for it to abate until the next time. This has been the worst time of my life and I think of Eric all the time. He wouldn't want me to be miserable and would be glad that I'm talking to you all. Today I drove to the local M&S and bought myself some flowers - I really went for some potatoes but decided to get some flowers to brighten up the sitting room. This is in the hope that I might just get a phone call to say that someone wants to view the house!!

I've had no viewers yet and the house has been up for sale since the end of January. I didn't expect anyone when we had all the snow but this past week hasn't been too bad at all, although bitterly cold, so I did expect at least one phone call. You obviously have uncrossed your fingers and you all promised that you would keep them crossed until I got some viewers. :)

This afternoon the sun is shining so let's hope that someone decides to come out over the weekend. My son, daughter in law and I viewed a house that was a in a bad state of repair and if I could sell mine we would put an offer in for it. Unfortunately by the time I sell this it might have already gone but I'm sure there'll be another one somewhere waiting for us. When I say it's in a bad state of repair I mean that NO-ONE could live in it at the minute!!  If by any remote chance I manage to sell this and we get an offer accepted I would have to go stay with my other son and daughter in law in Kent until we could get it in to a state where I could move in. I could 'take a holiday' while they oversee the renovations - that's the good thing of getting older your children begin to take over the 'looking after'.

This is just to let you all know what's happening in my life - not a lot unfortunately, but things can only get better. Thank you all for listening and thanks for visiting.

  1. Hi Hazel - you know what they say - a problem shared is a problem halved, and it's good to get things off your chest in this way, rather than bottling it all up.

Once the weather warms up, I'm sure you will have some prospective buyers - apparently Springtime (due to the good weather!) is the most popular time to sell a house, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you - honest! (Except when I'm typing on the 'puter of course)!!

You are so blessed to have such thoughtful children Hazel, but of course it's not quite the same as having a loved one to share your life on a daily basis - you must miss Eric so much.

Sending big {{{HUGS}}}, and wishing you a Quick Sale! - Sylvia xx

  2. Hazel I wish I was closer to you to give you a big hug!!
It's only natural that you think of Eric all the time, he was such a big part of your life and you wouldn't have it any other way than to think of him often. Enjoy your memories of him, and smile at the thoughts of what you achieved together. Remembering him is what will get you through the days.

As for the house, well spring has hardly sprung yet and people aren't coming out to look with all the cold weather and Easter holidays, I'm sure they will and your lovely plans will all come to fruition and your new chapter will begin.

    Big big hugs

  3. Hugs Hazel and try to smile. It must be totally unbearable when you loose your best friend and soul mate, I am dreading the day. As said, Eric would want you to find time to find joy again, hand in there treasure. Eric is by your side, although you can't see him he lives in your heart.

Bummer re the house, I still have my fingers and toes crossed for you, it will happen in the right time, maybe this is a way of making sure you don't rush in and buy the wrong house. Loving looking at all the beautiful cards you make for OSAAT, I don't know where you are finding the ability to be able to create so beautifully with such a heavy heart - an inspiration to us all.

    More big hugs - Jane

I know about the housing as I am still waiting to move into mine from all the renovations. It seems like it takes for ages!!
I'm sure the right person will buy yours and you and your family will find just the right one.

Take care and one day at a time. Enjoy the flowers.

Eric was such a massive part of your life for so many happy years, I am sure the hole that is left will bring you down without a moments notice and is only to be expected. Try not to be hard on yourself and know that there are a lot of people that care about you.

Hope you have some good news regarding house viewings soon.

  7. Hello Hazel firstly, here is a big (((((HUG)))))
Life goes on even if it is very hard. You will get there, it is still early days. I am sure once you can get moved things will be better.
I know house selling is so very different down your way than it is here, things in general are very slow.
Thank you visiting and leaving a comment, I really appreciate that.
