A rose for you

I used one of my little used CDs today to make this card. The CD is Card Plus Creations' Aroma Notes. I used the image of the large pink rose and matted it on to a bright pink doiley, cut with my Cheery Lynn die. The whole thing was then matted on to dark green (Ross Paper) and bright pink card (Papermill). I didn't want to use backing papers so as not to detract from the beautiful image of the rose. I used four pieces of Card Candi to complete this simple card. The card blank is a small square from Craft UK. There's a slight glimmer in the centre of the rose and that's from my flash photography - I will get it right one day.

I'm entering my card in to the following challenges:
Joanna Sheen - For Someone Special - it's for my niece
Ladybug Crafts Ink - Shapes - squares and circles
CD Sunday - Ring a Roses

  6. Lovely card Hazel, I've got that cd, use it quite a lot for gift cards and envelopes. I've got that doilly die too, great minds think alike huh? I love flower images, have got some photos from my garden that I've used, need to make some more, good memories. x

  15. Love the doily Hazel! It really frames the image beautifully. I like a pretty floral image - it cheers the heart. The image on my blog was too big and it made the page look weird - I've made it smaller and it's all back to normal! Hope you're feeling ok, hugs, Jayne x
